To rent a car, you typically need:
- A valid driver’s license.
- A credit or debit card for payment.
- Proof of insurance (if required by the rental company).
In Michigan, the minimum age required to rent a car is 21.

Yes, you need to have insurance when renting a car. You can use your own car insurance if it covers rentals, or you can purchase coverage from the rental company. Some credit cards also offer rental car insurance as a benefit.
Additional drivers can be added to the rental agreement, but they must also meet the rental company’s requirements.
We include a standard 100-mile range with the initial rental cost and a $0.35 per mile charge thereafter.
There is no limit to the total mileage you may travel.
We ask that you please return at the proper time. If for some reason that is not possible, please let us know as soon as possible.
A one-hour grace period is allowed at the end of each rental; each hour past the grace period will be calculated at ¼ day.
Typically yes, you can usually extend your rental period, but you must notify the rental company in advance. Additional charges will apply, and the rate may change depending on the extension period.
At this time we operate out of a single home base location. However, if you need to drop off the rental car at the Alpena airport, we can arrange this for the airport pick-up fee of $28.
At this time our rentals can only be used in the continental 48 states.
In case of an accident, CALL THE POLICE, we need to have an accident report. Then CALL your insurance company and us immediately (989-340-0941).
No, the use of our vehicles for ride-sharing and delivery services is prohibited.
